Since 1960, Aspire has been recognized as a leader in providing bold, pioneering services to individuals with disabilities and their families in the Chicagoland community. Their programs include:

  • Community-based housing options and services
  • Life enrichment curriculum-based learning opportunities
  • Job training and career engagement services
  • Social enterprises which provide jobs and education through Aspire CoffeeWorks and Aspire Art360 

Aspire is seeking to fill two key positions to help advance their goal of creating communities where people of all abilities live, learn, and grow together. The ideal candidates will have demonstrated passion for working alongside people with disabilities and collaborating to pursue greater possibilities.

Senior Director of Philanthropy

Collaborate with the Chief Philanthropy Officer
Create, plan, execute, lead, and manage a comprehensive effort to grow contributed revenue across the organization through big picture strategies

Manage, Mentor, and Inspire
Supervise and coach a top-talent philanthropy team -- including three direct reports: Director of Grants and Partnerships, Philanthropy Associate Director, and Director of Annual Giving -- through strategic direction and process improvement while setting the tone for innovative thinking

Strengthen Fundraising and Stewardship
Provide oversight and serve as creator of fundraising programs while partnering closely with the marketing and events team

Create and Execute Comprehensive Annual Giving Programs
Strategize and manage programs designed to increase unrestricted gifts, serve as a foundation for major and planned gifts, and support the overall development of the annual campaign goals 

Supervise Donor Services Specialist
Work closely with the Donor Services Specialist to segment and analyze donors according to past giving history, personal interests, affiliation, and history with Aspire to determine customized constituent strategies for each appeal or campaign

Strengthen Web-Based Systems and Marketing Practices
Research, select, and implement a new CRM and implement a marketing strategy to grow the monthly donor program and launch a peer-to-peer program
