Executive Director/CDO: College of Lake County Foundation

The College of Lake County (CLC) is a comprehensive community college committed to equitable high-quality education, cultural enrichment, and partnerships. The College endeavors to meet the ever-changing needs of the diverse communities of Lake County, Illinois.

The CLC Foundation, an affiliated nonprofit organization, inspires philanthropic giving to support student scholarships, college programs, and capital projects that create life-changing opportunities for Lake County residents. In the most recently completed fiscal year, the Foundation raised more than $3.5 million for student scholarships and capital projects.

CLC and the Foundation prioritize student success outcomes by providing holistic and personal supports that help students achieve academic, personal, and career growth from their onboarding through graduation.

Together, CLC and the Foundation deliver affordable and accessible education and services across three campuses, a specialized Advanced Technology Center, and online programming.

Both support the economic vitality of Lake County and CLC is a nationally recognized leader in sustainability and campus internationalization. CLC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association. 

Position Overview

The Executive Director/Chief Development Officer of the Foundation leads a high-performing resource development team and facilitates a giving culture to support the College’s strategic priorities and successful outcomes for its diverse student body and community.

The Executive Director/Chief Development Officer we seek will be:

  • A visionary and values-driven leader responsible for advancing the vision of the College and mission of the Foundation.
  • A strategic thought leader who creates a dynamic work environment characterized by inclusivity, collaboration, collegiality, and creativity.
  • An experienced professional who inspires and nurtures philanthropic relationships with individuals, corporations, foundations, and key community leaders.
  • An effective and strategic communicator within the College and philanthropic communities.

The position reports to the Vice President of Community and Workforce Development and collaborates with the Board of the Foundation in achieving its vision and outcomes.
