I was very interested to receive information recently about this year’s recipients of the Chicago AFP’s Philanthropy Awards. Congratulations to all of those who are being recognized by our professional chapter. These are indeed singular honors.
Of special note is the Founder’s Award recipient, Mr. Marshall Field V. Many of us know and have worked with Marshall over the years, and this award is an appropriate recognition of his exceptional commitment to philanthropy here in Chicago and worldwide. I was interested to note that Marshall is only the eighth recipient of the award in thirty-two years. It seems appropriate that such an award be limited to those who stand out for their life-time achievements.
